I sure hope not. If they had Mackenzie Milton I honestly think they would have as good a shot as any 4 seed to beat Bama (minus maybe OSU if they played like they did against Michigan).
However if OSU OU and Georgia all lose, who is the 4th seed?
Can’t really be Georgia, would be a rematch (although if Georgia loses by 3 and Clemson wins by 40, I could see committee making Clemson 1 and Bama 2 to screw us and avoid a rematch. If Georgia gets blown out don’t see how you could put them there)
Can’t be OU after losing last game and twice to Texas? But could you put Texas i with 3 losses? Are they really better than UCF?
And Michigan and OSU may be options, but you couldn’t put Michigan in over OSU.
So that leaves OSU v UCF. osU was ranked behind UCF 2 weeks ago and you are telling me would remain ahead with a loss and no conference title?
In summary - I think UCF gets in it OSU OU and Georgia all lose (GA by at least 10)
If Georgia loses by 3 or so - I think they would get in and ND would find themselves against Bama
