If BW cannot go. Today ND will find out if they can really run the ball. A dual threat home run hitter like BW forces opposing defenses to make all kinds of unsound adjustments. Which has created opportunities for Adams to shine and he has, it has also created lots of opportunities in the passing game. Which have been largely missed.

Against top notch opponents coming up ND points will HAVE to come from the passing game period. (See Georgia) Run fo show, but you throw fo dough!!!

If BW cannot go or is not full strength. Then having a 50% passer without the total run threat makes zero sense.

Let Book play and lets see if the dudes on the OL can eat against an inferior opponent? And lets see if ND has a QB on the roster that can consistently hit open receivers. If ND cannot steamroll UNC on the ground today without BW, then ND is nothing but BW enabled paper tiger on the ground.

Agree

Speaking for the circle:

It will be interesting to see the o-line, and the protection/production that will come against a defense that is not top notch, It's a good opponent to develop against before the Irish face a more equality defense.

Brian Kelly has been mixing in different RBs this season. This game could put Adams in the Heisman top 5 list and it will be interesting to see if Boot has a better passing game several have said he could do. It will also be interesting to see if the TEs are more involved, and could shine
Which WRs are going to step up?

They can take the QB read running play and throw it in the trash with a QB who is a marginal runner .... I will be betting that they don't

Book can move. Quicker than BW. (not faster)

Don't sell him short. He can move enough to be very effective.

We are fine today... or at least on paper... it looks that way... games are won in the trenches... our lines show up... we leave with a victory!

If Book starts hitting WR's downfield then the running game will have no problems. Only thing that worries me with Book being in there is making calls and reads in live action, much different than practice. Worried about this game no matter who plays. Guess I have seen ND lose to many games like this.

They ran fine. As whole Book did fine. He made a few mistakes. But this a team we could start him against. Ian needs to improve. The run game picked up as the game went on
