Heard Tom Luginbill this morning. Talking CA recruiting. He said CA not the hotbed it once was. 34 million people but the population is a large percentage of futbol players ( my words not his) and the participation rate is way down. Which as a resident/teacher I chalk up to the high number of entitled and soft kids we have out here. It’s unfortunately become a real challenge to navigate the egos to get them to learn and go where you’re trying to lead them. He also discussed Texas and how often times the 5 star guys don’t pan out because of how developed they are in Texas.

I read some articles after the CTE thing came out that parents would be more reluctant to let their children play football. Maybe you’re starting to see that effect. I bet if you looked at more states you would see similar trends.

Im not sure I’d let my kids play football unless they were the kicker or punter.

I watch a ton of HS Football in so. California. All I can do after reading this is SMH. What is written isn’t worth writing a direct response.
