Buchner

Grown ass adults trashing 20-year-old CFB players?

Noble.
What do you think sports fora are for?
Not unheard of for a Qb to switch to WR, but not sure 1 season especially missing spring ball would be enough time to adapt to the position.
Carlyle Haliday (sp?) got into the record books by catching a pass from Brett Favre that broke a certain record. Of course he was an option qb and it was pretty common for non-pocket passers to move positions for the NFL.

Edelman had a nice career in NFL after switching to WR after college. Kid from Indiana & Slash are the one I can think of off the top of my head.

Arnaz Battle from ND had three solid seasons with the Forty-Niners, catching 59 passes one year and 50 the year after. He, too, started out as an option/running QB.

Just remember, if TB hadn't transferred, and stayed at ND and dutifully backed up Sam Hartman, he'd be walking into the starting lineup right now. And it wouldn't even be controversial. And I feel it's very safe to say there'd be no Riley Leonard. Who knows for sure if we would have pursued yet another QB transfer even with a full QB depth chart, including a veteran understudy ready to assume the reins. But likely not IMO

So let's just leave him at QB. And let him start next year, and at least compete for the job.

Buchner embodies the combined prowess of Smardzija's arm, Floyd's agility, Tate's tenacity, and Fuller's speed.

Brown's job prospects will pivot on his ability to nurture Buchner's growth and unleash his full potential on the gridiron.
