Notre Dame slowed down Navys option attack and physically whipped up on Navy.

The Irish D pummeled Keenan every time he ran the ball until he couldn't do it anymore.

Navy basically put up the white flag with ten minutes to go when they took Keenan out to rest him for the rest of the season.

This Irish D plays tough and hits hard. They did great against Clemson last week too. The Offense and special teams just turned it over last week too much.

In 2010 and 2011 many Irish fans were calling for Bob Diacos head which was very foolish.

The same fans calling for BVG'S head are likewise foolish.

After the pounding the Irish D took against Alabama in the NC game the Irish have went with more athletic defensive players and a more aggressive defense.

Are you kidding me? How many tackles does our middle linebacker have so far this year?? How about our 5 star safety? how about our outside linebacker #17.

Our defense is soft and porous. Aside from #9 and #91, we are mediocre at best.

Bodi...I for one am not asking for BVG's scalp......UNLESS he refuses to play PLAYERS. The defense was there in the 1st half...but PLAYERS missed tackles, did not fill, or took lousy angles to the ball. Nyles, Grace, Coney all showed up when played........Schmidt, Onwaulu, Russell & Max?????

Players need to GET BETTER!!!

There is alot of upperclassmen on this defense. He can't make the tackles for them. But the over reaction to play fakes and trick plays is concerning. I'm still not not over that double reverse flee flicker against Virginia. That play virtually never works against a disciplined defense. His recruiting as a whole is most concerning. ND has to get bookends that can pressure the opposing QBs. The great teams can get pressure on QBs with out blitzing every play. It put alot a pressure on your DB's. That being said ND should be favored in all of their remaining games accept for Stanford. But ND usually matches really well against pro style offenses when healthy.

That is against 1 team in the top 40 in total offense.

He is decent. That is all. If that is what you want then BVG is your man. If you strive for greatness (which we should) then look elsewhere.
