Who said anyone is happy? Some of us are fans whose life isn't 'centered around ND football' and don't feel like this is the same as "being married for 25 years to the love of your life to find out she's cheating on you". Those with lives realize this decision is out of their hands and the state of ND football doesn't affect their lives. I love watching 18-20 years play football but good god.. This is sad.

My only thought is that the options out there right now are not overly appealing. I know everyone is high on Fleck, but I think he could another year of seasoning. Plus, would the jump from Western Michigan to ND bee too steep?
I don't think so.....Not if a young coach like PJ Fleck can surround himself with seasoned coordinators who are comfortable in that role, and have been in major bowls themselves. I would be concerned if PJ Fleck were hired and attempted to bring his coaching staff to South Bend....that would be a problem. A young coach, with the right supporting staff can get the job done.
