I believe Alize Jones will be a star in the making this year !!
No longer a tight end but a fast 6'5" 220 lb wide receiver!!
He will be like Corey Robinson from the Florida State game but faster and more athletic !!
Will Fuller is gone on to the NFL but we are deeper in talent such as we were in 2005 with Smardzua (sp?) Stovall and Rhema McKnight !!!
I believe (as a mystic visionary---not a coach) that this season is going to be a lot like 2005 (when Brady Q was a junior) !! ND just has to close out !! And beat Michigan State and USC !!

Tori Hunter Jr.
Max Redfield (cross fingers)
Nyles Morgan
Other guys to watch out for...
T. Coney
N. Watkins
St. Brown
J. Tillery
A. Jones
S. Crawford
Any of the new starters on the O-Line should be good. They're primed and we'll coached!
If he were gonna be a starter D. Williams would be a guy to watch out for.

Damn Bodi, too many guys to pick from. Just thinking we have a ton of young talent just bursting to show what they can do, and we NEED several to have break out years. Even though you asked for ONE pick, I'll go with St Brown on offense and Trumbetti on defense.

Hunter has to be a key in passing game , Jones is expected to be a star ,but more as a receiver than a blocker at tight end . Kelly always seems to find receivers .

Defense is what concerns me . Everybody seems to look towards Tillery , Rochell ,Watkins ,Crawford ,Morgan ,Redfield to really step up . But I don't know what to expect.

Jones is still a TE, and should play in 2016 at around 235
(Reportedly he dropped to 233 from 245 during the off-season)

He is going to move around positions a lot in 2016 though, and will play some at the WRw (boundary) position

He should be very productive this season

The posts are all about players that are probable staters . I'm looking for under the radar players who will surprise and surprise in a big way . Especially on defense.

Look at the size of all the starting WR's not named Hunter.

Jones (who will play at WR too)
ESB
Boykins

So one playmaker & three possession guys. I hope they all can block too.

While I think Kizer has all sorts of upside I believe the breakout player will be Malik Jamaal Zaire.

Kelly I'll use his offensive genius to get both players on the field often, but Malik is an extraordinary threat with the ball in his hands.

Kelly hinted with his comments ,that the Irish will not have a dominant defense .What does this mean in the game plan ? Do we blitz less , just contain , less aggressive and make the players understand their roles .. Okwara, Smith,Day ,Russell ,Shumate are huge losses.

Hayes, Cage, Jones, Tillery, Rochell , Trumbetti, on the line . Still hoping we have a few emerging stars under the radar

DLine should be solid, secondary looks to be solid. If we can get above average play from LB we should be okay.

I'm really pulling for Josh Barajas. He's from my son's HS. He's from my area. I spent many a game watching his HS career.

Gonna have to say Nyles. Although he was a freshman all-american....he's going to have to break out, again, I suppose.

On offense.....Corey Holmes?

Nyles Morgan. Should have been the break-out player last year but...I digress.
Made no sense as to how he couldn't even get on the field in rotation or for a few series. I know Schmidt was an emotional leader and mentally bright. But would ND really have lost any games if Morgan started in place of Schmidt or at least got on the field regularly? I'd like think no, but obviously we can only speculate.

I read somewhere that of the 41 defensive snaps he played last year that he had 9 tackles - those are pretty darn good stats.

And if I'm not mistaken he also recorded a forced fumble on a kickoff last year. At least ND has the guy for likely 2 more years. Excited to see what he can do!

On offense I'm going w/ durham smythe. He will be a tough cover for LBs and I believe he was on the way to a productive season before he was injured. On defense, I'm going w/ Crawford. He's gonna be a very good cover guy for us and if his injury has no effects, he'll be a factor in the return game.

Honorable mention on offense is the walk on finke. W/ a bunch of wrs gone, he will surprise in the slot. On defense, I'm going w/ Nyles Morgan. His time has come & I think he makes an impact.

Nyles Morgan is going to be reborn at LB this year. Mark my words... you will all be saying "where have you been !?"
I predict he will have at least 90 tackles. Teams will discover the running the ball against ND is hard.
