FSU won't be in the CFP.

They will lose by double digits to Bama & lose one other random ACC game.

USC will drop multiple games also.

NDAFArly..........

You could well be right about FSU. They will have to beat Alabama in their back yard so to speak and Clemson in "Death Valley" although Clemson will be without Deshaun Watson. Both of those games will have NC implications. FSU can afford to lose to Bama but not to Clemson. Right now the drama is building for the opening game with Bama. Bama is a 6 point favorite.

I think it will be unlikely that USC will lose multiple games. Their toughest games are Stanford at the beginning of the year, then ND and they won't play Washington unless it's in the PAC12 Championship game at the end of the year. A lot depends on how they do with Stanford and ND.

Lots of exciting CFB to look forward to!

W/ the exception of the Irish, here's hoping all the teams mentioned lose every game they play.

I am relaxed and will enjoy the games. I just hope all the teams mentioned lose all their games. And if they happen to play each other, I'll be rooting for whatever team makes u not post so many backhanded digs at ND (like this one). That's probably wishful thinking though.

Top of the morning Fancade,

Glad to hear you are relaxed. I'm OK with anyone wishing that certain teams lose especially if their team plays those teams. However, keep in mind that ND would be better off playing an undefeated USC. I have predicted ND will go 5-7 or 6-6 this year (which ironically is the same prediction I made last year). I do root for ND (my next door neighbor and good friend's son is a student at ND) so let's hope I'm wrong. I simply see ND with 2 problems right now, 1.) BK, 2.) the newness of the other coaches and players.

About ND being predicted to play in the Belk Bowl:

Wouldn't that be great? A big step in the right direction and by definition a winning (or possibly break even) season! That would be a big improvement over last year. And right now the Belk looks like a realistic goal to shoot for. Anything better would simply be fantastic. Would you agree with that?

When it comes to USC I always root for the San Andres fault. Now before I catch crap for being insensitive I don't wish any harm on anyone. Except for that ?%-%?%?% horse. It can go down with the stadium. I try not to hate anyone and truth be told I love good people no matter who they are and pray for the bad one's and I know that's open to interpretation. So with the exception of an occasional joke in poor taste. I wish the best for most except cheaters.

That was very insensitive

Spare us the "I root for ND" BS. Your posts over the years make that comment laughable. My response was tongue in cheek because I know your posts are all the same. They're all about how great you think the ACC and the Florida schools are along w/ comments chock full of backhandedness towards ND. You're an open book to anyone that's been here long enough.

Your troll isn't subtle enough.

To real in anyone worth landing, you need to show significantly more intelligence and tact

From the level of this troll, I'd assume (correctly) that you have the social intelligence of a 13 year-old

Hey Dag that's a great post..........made me smile and even chuckle a bit. It reminded me of a 2 week Mediterranean cruise I was on a while back. By the second day everyone on the ship was decked out in flip flops, hats and T-shirts. And it was amazing how many of those hats and T-shirts were college related. It didn't take long for a lot of the men to start talking football. And everybody got along really well including and especially the rivals! And yes, I met some people from Notre Dame and we all got along like a house a fire. At night we dined with people we didn't know on elegant round tables that seated 8 or 10 people. Those nights turned into dinner parties and great fun. It was truly amazing how those rivals turned into great friends on the high seas and various tours!

PS. My experiences in the Army were much the same.

Easy dag, PETA will be on your ass for your comments about Traveler. :)
Ftr, I'd be rooting for the Trojans against any and all mentioned, excluding ND of course. I still have nightmares about Anthony Davis' 6 TDs when I was 5 or 6 yrs old, but I'd root for USC over the rest of them just because it's the opposite of what the OP would want. ;)

"One ill Irish......

I hope you are feeling better soon. I've had my bout with illness but fortunately it has been completely turned around thanks to good medical care, a complete change of diet and lots and lots of exercise.

Keep in mind this is only a message board..............RIVALS.COM.............for "rivals" to come together no less..............poke a little fun, good conversation, interesting topics, CFB in perspective, predictions, humor and a little ribbing, bragging and "Tom Foolery". No place for "wadded panties" so to speak. :) Get well soon.

Something ND did must've wadded your panties a long, long time ago cuz u r relentless in your jabs and barbs. The "rivals" board you speak of sounds great, why don't you adhere to those rules instead of your constant ND backdoor bashing? Reeks of insecurity. One good year every five for the Irish in the last 25 years doesn't constitute all your 24/7 attention here, so I guess the earlier Irish years really pissed you off. Either that, or you're just a guy that likes to rub fans' noses in their team's success or lack thereof. Either way, get a life.

As I said, your troll is just too obvious.

When you grow up, you may be lucky enough to gain more social intelligence and subtlety, which would allow you to create an actually acceptable troll that would stir the pot.

This one is just pathetic though. I'm honestly embarrassed for you. Only a true intellectual bottom feeder would think this troll was either funny or effective.

Again, I'd sugggest you just shut this guy down, and try to be less pathetic in your next troll attempt

I just really hate that horse lol.
Don't get me wrong I love animals. We have a couple pets I feed the deer , wild turkeys and other wild life here plus I believe we have a cougar around here somewhere. I saw a fresh kill in our woods although the DNR would not come out here and said it was coyotes. I know my tracks have lived in the country my whole life. Plus last year the DNR caught a black bear 10 miles from here. As for PETA I can't even watch those commercials they break my heart. I shot a ground hog about 10 years ago eating my garden. Felt so bad about I'll never do that again.

Beach, it was a joke. I'll give you insensitive, maybe even in poor taste. And if it bothered you I'm sorry for that. Like most I have suffered tragedy. So I'll hope you can forgive. I still hate that damn horse.

Mine was also a joke. I was playing off your, "Now before I catch crap for being insensitive..."
Sorry if it didn't come through that way.

I don't mind good a natured shot at an opponent, and no one would take your rooting for an earthquake line seriously Both posts were meant to be fun.

by the way, traveler (that damn horse) has something like a 10 mil endowment. Even I get jealous of that.

Regarding your "equine hatred" (fear). LOL

You must have a fit when ND plays any of the following: (I looked up horse mascots in college--ha ha ha)

Schools and their mascots:

Murray State--Race Horse

UC Davis--Blue Horse

CAL Poly--Musty

Middle Tennessee--Lightning

USC--Traveler

Wyoming--Cowboy Joe riding a paint

Boise State--Buster Bronco

Western Michigan--Buster Bronco

Army--mules

Central Florida--Knight on a white horse

SMU--Shetland pony

Rutgers--Scarlet Knight on a horse

Texas Tech--Red Raider

Oklahoma State--Cowboy riding Bullet

Oklahoma--horse drawn boomer schooner

Virginia's Cavalier

Florida State University--Chief Osceola with his flaming spear riding Renegade

There may be more but this is all I could find.

you're my long suffering, up late lamenting about Kelly's latest blundering, buddy, but except for the actual alums, we are fans not of buildings and concrete but of the team and the players that comprise that group.
USC is not the USC of Petey C. SC has actually been a very straight arrow program.

We are followers and studyers of ND. Familiar as if part of, or family.

SC is the arch rival and in a way linked to ND. As ND's historical foe and rival, and in order to defeat the evil empire in the south I become familiar with SC, it's players and, where once I dispised anything USC, In becoming familiar with the indiviuals of the team, much as I have with ND players, I find it advantageous to have 2 options to defeat the SEC than 1 very very loooong shot. And I see no character at SC that is any worse than BK; so that is no issue against SC and even a plus.

For me, the team that wins the ND/USC game has a playoff shot. Not both.

couple of comments:

In recent years the ACC has won more National Championships than the SEC. And USC is currently a 6.5 point favorite over ND. USC is ND's third toughest opponent according to the Vegas sports books right after Stanford and Miami.

"In recent years" as in the last four? Before that you have to go back to 1999 (Miami was a member of the Big East in 2001). I have some numbers for you. In the last ten years the SEC has seven titles, ACC has two and Big Ten has one. I can even go back further to prove my point if you want. Is it your life's work to make idiotic statements then get called out on those statements?

It's all about what have you done for me lately. Think about that one for a minute or two.

Two out of seventeen years is hardly dominance. Two out of four is hardly dominance. We can play this game and say one out of the last one. Now that is ACC dominance. It didn't even take me a minute or two to think about it.
