Notre Dame's two incoming freshmen, both of whom won separate National Player of the Year awards, were the second-leading scorers for their respective squads in the McDonald's All-American Game held Wednesday night in Chicago's United Center.
Guard Jackie Young, who reminds many of Jewell Loyd, helped lead her West squad to the 97-88 overtime victory by scoring 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting (1-of-3 from 3), and also grabbing 10 rebounds. She also had two steals, an assist and a turnover in her 28 minutes of action.
Forward Erin Boley played 21 minutes for the East and tallied 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting (1-of-5 from three), grabbed 6 rebounds, handed out three assists, and had one blocked shot, one steal and one turnover in 21 minutes.
