This is something you guys have been asking for, so here it is. A Notre Dame big board sorted by what I believe are the top of the board targets + other players to know at the position.

Before you ask "But Mike, why isn't that kid in the top target group?!?!" please know that this is my best guess based on information I've gathered

QUARTERBACK
Commits
Steve Angeli, 6-3, 215, Oradell, N.J. (Bergen Catholic)

Top Targets
None.

Other Players To Know
None.

Projected take: 1

Thoughts: Notre Dame got its guy it offered first. I'd be surprised if Notre Dame recruited another QB in this class. It seems they staff has moved on to 2023 QBs.

RUNNING BACK
Commits
Jadarian Price, 5-11, 175, Denison, Texas (Denison)

Top Targets
Dallan Hayden, 6-0, 192, Memphis, Tenn. (Christian Brothers)
Gavin Sawchuk, 5-11, 175, Highlands Ranch, Colo. (Valor Christian)
Nicholas Singleton, 5-11, 191, Shillington, Pa. (Governor Mifflin Senior)

Other Players To Know
Damari Alston, 5-10, 206, College Park, Ga. (Woodward Academy)
Jordan Bryant-James, 5-10, 200, Murfreesboro, Tenn. (Oakland)
Zach Evans, 5-10, 185, Rockwall, Texas (Rockwall-Heath)
Gi’Bran Payne, 5-10, 190, Cincinnati (La Salle)
Dillon Tatum, 5-11, 185, West Bloomfield, Mich. (West Bloomfield)

Projected take: 2

Thoughts: Hayden, Sawchuk and Singleton have been the top guys at the board for a long time. Alston and Payne are big targets; I'd peg them just below top tier status. Unsure on Bryant-James--probably not going to happen. Evans is unlikely. Tatum being recruited more as an athlete now, I believe.

WIDE RECEIVER
Commits
Amorion Walker, 6-3, 170, Ponchatoula, La. (Ponchatoula)

Top Targets
Xayvion Bradshaw, 6-0, 185, Bluefield, Va. (Graham)
Addison Copeland III, 6-3, 190, Buffalo, N.Y. (Western Maritime)
Andre Greene Jr., 6-3, 180, Richmond, Va. (St. Christopher’s)
Tetairoa McMillan, 6-4, 185, Anaheim, Calif. (Servite)
Tobias Merriweather, 6-4, 180, Vancouver, Wash. (Union)
Tyler Morris, 5-11, 170, La Grange Park, Ill. (Nazareth Academy)
CJ Williams, 6-2, 193, Santa Ana, Calif. (Mater Dei)
Jarel Williams, 6-3, 175, Saraland, Ala. (Saraland)

Other Players To Know
Nicholas Anderson, 6-4, 183, Katy, Texas (Katy)
Kaleb Brown, 5-11, 183, Chicago (St. Rita)
Darrius Clemons, 6-3, 185, Pleasant Grove, Utah (Pleasant Grove)
Antonio Williams, 6-0, 180, Irmo, S.C. (Dutch Fork)

Projected take: 3

Thoughts: I left Kaden Saunders off this list. I don't see that happening anymore. Kaleb Brown in "other players to know" because I doubt he's coming either from what I've gathered. I could see any of the seven "top targets" landing at Notre Dame. Greene Jr. might be more interested in ND than most think. ND is picking up steam with Morris. Merriweather is high on the Irish. I feel ND could land Bradshaw, Copeland, and/or Jarel Williams with a push. CJ Williams is a monster target but a very tough get. I haven't heard anything on Nicholas Anderson or Antonio Williams in a while. I left guys like DJ Allen, Jay Fair and De'Nylon Morrissette off this list.

TIGHT END
Commits
Jack Nickel, 6-4, 230, Milton, Ga. (Milton)

Top Targets
Eli Raridon, 6-6, 220, West Des Moines, Iowa (Valley)
Holden Staes, 6-4, 230, Atlanta (Westerminster)

Other Players To Know
None.

Projected take: 2-3

Thoughts: Nickel is strong in his Notre Dame commitment. Staes is leaning Notre Dame. So is Raridon. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

OFFENSIVE LINE
Commits
Ty Chan, 6-6, 265, Groton, Mass. (Lawrence Academy)
Joey Tanona, 6-5, 290, Zionsville, Ind. (Zionsville)

Top Targets
Joe Brunner, 6-5, 270, Whitefish Bay, Wis. (Whitefish Bay)
George Fitzpatrick, 6-6, 265, Greenwood Village, Colo. (Cherry Creek)
Carson Hinzman, 6-4, 275, Hammond, Wis. (St. Croix Central)
Billy Schrauth, 6-5, 280, Fond du Lac, Wis. (St. Mary’s Springs)
Jake Taylor, 6-5, 280, Las Vegas (Bishop Gorman)
Aamil Wagner, 6-6, 255, Huber Heights, Ohio (Wayne)

Other Players To Know
Grant Bingham, 6-6, 302, Paintsville, Ky. (Johnson Central)
Tyler Booker, 6-5, 315, Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy)
Zach Rice, 6-6, 305, Lynchburg, Va. (Liberty Christian)

Projected take: 4-5

Thoughts: Notre Dame has two guys committed in Chan (tackle) and Joey Tanona (guard/center). For a while I was expecting the Irish to take four linemen in this class, but I'm more convinced now that it'll be five. I still like Schrauth (guard) to land at Notre Dame, and then one of the following tackles: Brunner, Fitzpatrick, Taylor and Wagner. Hinzman (guard/center) is a wild card. Irish staff is still pushing for him. I don't see Rice (tackle) ending up at ND.

Defensive big board will be posted tomorrow.
