I knew our defenses secondary wasn't great, as well as our pass rush, so it wasn't a surprise we gave up some big plays to a decent UMass offense. However, to me the best thing was seeing our kids having to play with some adversity and not getting down. The team really did great in the 2nd half and we got to see some younger kids get snaps, that was very important.
Let's hope the defense keeps learning because next week will really tell us how good our team really is this season. It will be a tough road game at Clemson, not an easy place to play, and I hope we can step up big time and also have some luck on our side.
Anyway, proud of the way these kids are playing and the coaches are really doing good.
