I raised this as 'in the wind' over a month ago, but was rebuked because insiders knew he was 'solid'.

Ben Davis ended back at Alabama. It actually may be better these top 5 star guys don't commit until about 2 or 3 months before signing day. A 5 star guys has constant smoke being blown up is ass on how great he is and that he needs to consider "All" options when its a good 12 months still away from signing day.
With this decommitment ND needs to not spend anymore time w/ this guy - he is not going to reverse course back to ND. Have never seen a decommit end up at his original choice.
has he signed somewhere else ? has nd ceased in recruiting him ? the sky is falling !I raised this as 'in the wind' over a month ago, but was rebuked because insiders knew he was 'solid'.

maybe nd should just hire his high school coach. As I understand it, this has everything to do with his sister not being admitted to ND this year, and almost nothing to do with his football recruitment. Family insisted on a packaged deal, and admissions has the final call, and she didn't make it. As Perse suggested, there have been hints of a decommitment for a while now, so shouldn't be a big surprise. Bad that we lose this kind of talent, good that ND lives to its standards.

And that's why they win championships and we dontyes i'm proud of our irish for not bending the rules and letting his sister get admission just so they could let Kelly and staff keep her 5 star DE brother committed. schools like Ohio State and Michigan along with many SEC schools would be bending rules to get his sister in just to not lose him
Go follow those schools. And that's why they win championships and we dont

Kelly35, surprised you haven't participated in the diminished expectations thread.
My wife's all time favorite songbut, really, would admitting his Sister be so bad?
The way things are these days, that sounds like a minor adaptation. JMO based on the last 2 years, but Cam's type arrangements are pretty cheap looking; if I had to guess it would be that it takes 250k openning bid to land a top position talent in'17.
A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So
So if someone did not go to college. They have no right to an opinion here ?We have a five star recruit and two four star DE end recruits committed to ND - you are a negative piece of shit who gets off on anything negative re ND Football . You never went to college you are a narcissist and a phony .You are despicable and I despise what you represent .
It depends on how 'close' she was to getting admitted. If she was on the bubble I'd be ok with them admitting her to keep Beal.yes i'm proud of our irish for not bending the rules and letting his sister get admission just so they could let Kelly and staff keep her 5 star DE brother committed. schools like Ohio State and Michigan along with many SEC schools would be bending rules to get his sister in just to not lose him

Ruff we have a clairvoyant sage in our presenceCongratulations, good for you.
the two play argument is nonsense. which two plays ? you can also say they were one play away from having 4 losses.I consider almost every thread in the off season pure rubbish tex -- my analysis of last year was 2 plays away from an undefeated season vs a difficult schedule and with a depleted roster .
My expectations for next season more of the same level of play ( very high level ) -- simple really
ND goes 11-1 two years ago sans injuries
12-0 this tr sans injuries
Tex did I ever share with you that I think anyone that sees multiple key injuries as an excuse is a feeble douche bag ?
Agree .... it's funny how that side of the equation almost always gets overlooked.the two play argument is nonsense. which two plays ? you can also say they were one play away from having 4 losses.

Sure thing Sport. When people think of renegade programs who bend the rules, Michigan almost always comes to mind. lol Yet I can't recall a time in the last 50 years when UM football had 6 players who cheated in school and had to sit a year. Oh, oh, I know, everybody else cheats "it's just ND who punishes the cheaters." Or the always reliable "<insert high school student name here> really wanted to come to ND but our admissions wouldn't bend the rules to make an exception because of our lofty standards." Sure thing. The Everett Golson's of the world were real academicians. No doubt a guy like Sheldon Day was a Rhodes Scholar who turned down Oxford for the greener pastures of South Bend, Indiana. Just stop already.

We're still staring down potential NCAA vacating of wins....
PS kelly's win total could possibly plummet by double digits....
You da nitwit.Disagree - Coach 8&4 will bring us to 8-4. Every confidence. He da man.
"This is why I love the ND-Navy rivalry."[/QUOTE]
OK, let's see now...........you love it because why??? Because ND never loses?
RIVALRY..........Hummmm.....isn't that when 2 teams are fairly competitive and you just never know who might win?
Hell,........ND holds the longest win streak in CFB history (43 friggin years, that's right 43) over..............you guessed it..........the infamous patsy Navy!!!
So...........let me ask you something. Would you L-O-V-E it sooo much if the W/L record was reversed and ND never won???
Navy is ND's GUARANTEED ANNUAL WIN................aka Patsy.......Cupcake........you name it!
It's Irish Scotch my good man.Agree .... it's funny how that side of the equation almost always gets overlooked.
Do they realize how many ranked teams in the country can say, "we were just 1, 2, 3 plays away from being 12-0"? Or how many 10-2/9-3 teams were 1, 2, 3 plays away from being 8-4/7-5/6-6 and unranked.
Even though I know Perse went to college, let's assume he did not and you did. He still was correct in his prediction while you were looking at naked pictures of Kelly using your diploma for cleanup. We have a five star recruit and two four star DE end recruits committed to ND - you are a negative piece of shit who gets off on anything negative re ND Football .
