Bama or OSU

I’m trying to be objective as possible on this as my dislike of OSU is well established.

Let me also say I think the CFB committee will never take a two loss over one loss team for a four seed.

All that said, is there an argument to be made for Bama? Bama’s two losses were on the road by a total of four points to LSU and Tennessee. OSU’s single loss as everyone knows was by 23 at home to UM.

I’m not a fan of either team, just curious as to others thoughts on this.

I’m not sure who I hate more the Ohio State football team or the Ohio State fans.

Honestly, it’s the fans. I didn’t mind OSU as a kid. They were an ok team and then in the late 90’s their program took off. I had several childhood friends that were “fans” of FSU, Miami, ND, and even Michigan that became OSU fans. It was absurd.

Then working games as a young Trooper really cemented my complete dislike of the University. The obnoxiousness of the fans to me is unparalleled in CFB. I’ve traveled all over to watch CFB games in the south, southeast, Midwest, and there isn’t a fan base as bad as OSU’s.

The only other place that had a lot of trash fans was MSU in East Lansing .

I went to Columbus Ohio for the Notre Dame game in the mid 90s. Course I wore my Notre Dame T-shirt and hat and I had things thrown at me like bottles of beer a tire iron bags of urine. I saw them knock down a 10-year-old boy because he was wearing a Notre Dame shirt. Their fans are simply trash and that whole school and campus is a freaking dump so is the stadium.

TCU is the 2022 version of Notre Dame the years they sneaked into the playoff with an inflated W-L record boasted more by shitty schedule and luck than anything else.

OSU with one loss. Keep in mind, Alabama could have lost a couple of other games this year including the Texas game.

The optics are bad if Bama is put back into the playoffs. I know that teams have gone in that have not played in their Conference Championship Game. But, It's not as if they are not in their own SEC Championship because they lost to an undefeated team that went ahead of them (ala O$U).

And Alabama "could have..." beaten Tennessee or LSU. Both losses went down to the last seconds.

Ohio State for Sure
Bama has 2 losses

Alabama SHOULD have at least three losses; SHOULD HAVE.

Now we are going to see if the committee has any real stones and judgement - they should NOT be in this year but we will see

What if Michigan loses ? Let’s say they simply have a bad game and lose by 14. Then what ? Are they still in ? What if all the favorites lose. Now that will be fun to see who the committee decides would get in.

Should be Tennessee over bama. I don't give a shit what the polls say. Head to head has to trump the eye test. Period.

Same as 1993.

I think Michigan and Georgia can get in even with a loss.

Hendon Hooker is out for the season. Would the CFB playoff committee rather see last season's Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young advertised all December, or the Tennessee backup QB???

OSU

The committee already decided that when they put ohio above Bama in the rankings. That much is settled
