Auguste may be the best pick and roll offensive player I have ever seen. He sets great picks and has amazing timing and speed with which he rolls to the hoop.
But as much as he understands the concept, he can't defend the same play to save his life. He double teams the gaurd and leaves us in a 4-3 scramble under the hoop almost every time they run the play. I can't figure out why he's so damn anxious to double team the ball when he knows his man is cutting to the hoop. It's bizarre. Colson (who doesn't run the play on offense well), shows, and then backs off on his man like he should. Auguste acts like he's going to get a steal and then gives up a layup.
I swore it was going to be his undoing today. He scored 25, but as usual his man had a big night, and scored 18. Would have probably scored 25 if he didn't get in foul trouble. I hope we don't play anybody who runs a big pick and roll offense.
