Article on ND vs UVA

I may be in a minority, but I think the offense is not a problem (unless more calamity occurs)
I have read several comments that Martin struggled.

I think crux of the problems are on the D sideof the ball.

Agree on the defense. However we cannot discount losing play makers on offense. Losing starters at any level will have a negative effect. As the season wears on and the team gets nicked up , not having proven backups will become an issue. As much as talent has to do with winning, staying healthy through the year is equally as important.

On offense we lost 2 critical playmaking starters. I don't know what the drop off is... Prosise has been remarkable. He has a different style than Folston and he has sure been effective. What a 1 2 punch we had back there...
What I do know is that we are now paper thin at QB and RB. I do not mean to diminish the terrifically talented FR backs we have, but imo we can not afford to lose Prosise.
Man, I thought Zaire would need to be spelled at times for the usual qb dings, but to have him totally knocked out for the season in game 2. Holy crap that sucks....
The thought of either Kizer or Prosise getting banged up is a scary one....

IMHO ... the player to keep your fingers crossed not to get hurt is Fuller. He's your bailout and go to guy.

You could be right, but at that position we have some solid depth....

QB and RB worry me more...

I posted in IrishBlood's game thread that Martin was getting abused. He was pancaked several times. Elmer had just as hard of a time. The two tackles played well though.

Personally, I think the D has played well so far. Yesterday, they just didn't cover Severin for some reason. Not sure why they kept leaving him open. And the Virginia QB had a great game. He kept completing passes with guys in his face with great accuracy. There's probably a reason he beat out that other guy who now starts for Georgia. He has some talent IMO.

But next week will be a completely different animal, with GTech's triple option.
