As much as I have enjoyed watching the CFP, I have to wonder if we are asking too much of these athletes. Seeing all these guys play injured makes me wonder what the ultimate cost is going to be on their knees long-term. This is truly a professional league at this point asking them to play this many games in the face of injury

4 teams is enough

I know this is gonna be an unpopular take, but I really think four teams is enough

to much $$ being made, never going back to four. Never going down to 8....if anything it will expand.

I think this is a very valid post

They play because they love the game

If they add games to the playoff, they need to do something about shortening the regular season or spacing out the playoff games to let these guys recover. It does not feel right to watch guys play hurt. Cross can’t walk right now. Love was unbelievable running through 3 tackles on the goal line on one leg. Watch that play again, a DB dives at his knee. I know it’s a violent game and it’s unpopular to worry about safety, but these guys are playing more than their bodies are capable of sustaining.

Well what's funny (or not funny) is that one of the reasons for not having playoffs for so long was due to safety.

I don't think they're going to add any. If they go to 16 it will still only be four rounds. Pretty much remarkable how injury riddled we are to make it all the way.

FCS plays a 24 team playoff.
