Love Judge, hustles, plays hard…..I would not want him at the plate in a clutch situation against a good pitcher like a Verlander or Scherzer who made him look really bad the other night. He struggles in the postseason when you are facing good pitching. Yankees made a great deal picking up Benitendi…..They need more hitters like that in their lineup
I don’t care about his walk offs….He has struggled in the postseason and when he faces a good pitcher like a Sherzer he does not produce. The Yankee lineup has a LOT of strikeouts in it. Lemathieu is the only guy in that lineup who I would want up in the playoffs in a clutch situation. Him and the new guy they just picked up from the Royals. Stanton has actually done pretty well for them in the postseason.
October baseball is a completely different animal.
And frankly, for what it would cost to sign Aaron Judge as he becomes an unrestricted free agent, No Thank You.
Exactly….One of the worst teams in baseball with HORRIBLE pitching. The Astros have made the Yankees their bitch in the past, they are doing it again this year and I wouldn’t bet against the Stros in the postseason. Their lineup is far better in the clutch, they don’t strikeout, and they have one of the lowest swing and miss lineups in the game.
I’m a homer, I think Yordan Alvarez is the best hitter in baseball right now.
Judge is one of the harder Yankees for me to hate, but I manage because he's a Yankee.
He has SUCKED in the postseason, when he’s faced good pitching…… Not the Royals, the Orioles, or the Tigers.
