Notre Dame offensive coordinator Gerad Parker and impending quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli aren't waiting around to show interest in 2025 quarterback prospects. Two have scheduled visits to Notre Dame this spring: four-star recruit Cutter Boley for March 25 and unrated recruit Deuce Knight for April 1. Both have recently heard from Parker and Guidugli, but neither have received offers from the Irish yet.
Boley, who Rivals ranked No. 90 overall in the 2025 class in November, is approaching 20 offers. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Boley threw for 3,901 yards and 36 touchdowns in 13 games as a sophomore for Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy.
In addition to Notre Dame, Boley plans to visit the following schools in the coming months: Clemson, Kentucky, Tennessee, Penn State, Florida State, LSU and Michigan. He's working to finalize the dates for those visits in the next few days. From that list, Boley has already made multiple visits to Kentucky, Tennessee and Michigan, all of which have offered him previously.
Boley impressed Rivals national analyst Ryan Wright during the Battle Miami 7-on-7 tournament last month.
"The 2025 gunslinger was on point firing the pigskin in tight windows, checking down when needed, and pleased the crowd with several deep ball end zone shots," Wright wrote. "Boley’s motion is smooth with great velocity. One of the more impressive moments from Boley was a play he wasn’t even a part of on Saturday.
"Snapping for the backup National Playmakers Academy QB, on a tight coverage play there was nowhere to go with the ball. With his back to the play, Boley told the backup where to go with the ball in successful checkdown."
Knight appears to be a likely candidate to receive a rating this week when Rivals updates its 2025 class ratings and rankings. The 6-4, 190-pound Knight has reported offers from nine programs: Auburn, Indiana, Memphis, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Tulsa and Washington.
In nine games as a sophomore at Lucedale (Miss.) George County, Knight completed 121 of his 196 passes (61.7%) for 1,929 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions. He also rushed 58 times for 488 yards and 12 touchdowns and fumbled twice.
Knight plans to visit Southern Miss on March 4, Auburn on March 17, Tennessee on March 23 and Texas A&M on April 6. He's also working to set up dates for visits to Ole Miss, Florida State, Arkansas and South Carolina.
