The Irish had a great year in 2018 and are even better in 2019 thanks to the epic recruiting class of 2016. And that is with a few of the great ones leaving. And I get tired of hearing about the players we want--how bout the players we have for once !! Discuss !!! .

1. Julian Okwara 7. Julian Love --NFL
2. Khalid Kareem 8. Kevin Stepherson ( Golden Tate--like) Imagine
3. Daelin Hayes 9. Ian Book (Joe Montana 2.0)
4. Chase Claypool 10. Adetokunbo Ogundeji
5.
Tommy Kraemer 11..Jamir Jones (#44 coming into his own)
6. Liam Eichenberg 12. Deon McIntosh ( imagine if he could have walked the line)
13. Jalen Elliot 14. Tony Jones Jr. (Won us the game at USC last year) Workhorse.
15. DJ Morgan 16. Spencer Perry
17. Devin Studstill 18.
Parker Boudreaux
19. Jonathan Jones 20. John Shannon
21. Donte Vaughn 22. Troy Pride Jr.
23. Javon McKinley

I’ve mentioned it before. They go back & “rerank” the classes after the 5th year & ND’s last two were 15th & 16th coming in & 5th & tied for 5th coming out. If ND wins 11+ games again this year, & players drafted as expected, they will once again be in the top 5. So that would be three straight years of classes leaving ND ranked top 5.
I know people love HS rankings, but give me top 5 college performance over expectations any day.

Great post ! And also back then Ian Book was just an afterthought. Most people thought he would be nothing but a back up. And he is leading the team to win after win against tough college competition.
Book is a winner.

Couple notes on the '16 class:

1. The '16 class has arguably the fewest misses of any ND recruiting class in the Rivals era.
2. The four players who didn't work out were all from Florida.
3. 9 players from this class committed in October of their senior year or later.
