The wooden benches inside the stadium will be improved by 2017 with vinyl covering. The average space available per fan on the benches will expand from 16 inches wide to 18 inches, which will involve "reseating" the stadium.

I've been following the construction very closely. This link shows 24hr webcams of the construction process. It looks like both the east and west buildings brick veneer will be ready in time for the season opener. I don't believe anybody will be allowed in the buildings with the exception of the press in the upper glass portion. They have already put the black moisture lining (or whatever it is) on the pre cast concrete sides of the jumbotron, as seen via the webcams. Each time they have done this, brick has been laid immediately. The front of this building, the Music Center, is still basically steel. This tells me we just may be getting our Jumbotron this season, as they are moving very quickly on it, in relation to the rest of this building. The whole project is massive, but only about a quarter of it is directly football related. The buildings themselves are for student life and classrooms. I would have preferred it be more football oriented, but I understand what they are trying to do. They want the stadium to be a hub of the university, not just used 5 days a year.

The new wider seats apply only to the lower bowl. True or false? I've been told the upper section already has wider seating. Never sat up there since the renovation in the 1990s, so I don't know.
