I am thrilled with the win but concerned about the running back position. If you go back to last spring our backfield looked pretty dam good. Golson, Folston and Bryant were the first tier. Then Golson leaves, Bryant ruled ineligible and now Folston out for the season. Zaire, Procise and Adams all played remarkably well. However, you simply cannot discount that losing Golson, Bryant and Folston doesn't hurt. Depth is key to going far and winning championships. The Irish are one game in and have taken a major hit in key areas. They can't afford to lose another running back or have Zaire get hurt. The win over Texas was great. They played lights out. But each week you have to keep your fingers crossed the " now" star players don't get hurt. It's a long season and unfortunately injuries happen. The Irish need to stay healthy if they want to be a playoff team.
