Franklin would be fired at about any other place
Those kids were cheated
Best player on the field was the PSU QB .... hands the ball to the TB 3 yds deep
Just a horrible call

Yeah, it was as bad as stated. OSU dline was starting to blow PSU up also. McSorley should have had the ball in his hands to either throw or run. He had something like 460 of their 500 yards.

You could see both OSU lines - OL and DL - taking over the game in the 4th quarter. OSU kicked it into gear when it counted - crunch time and the last 8 minutes of the game. But could someone please explain why PSU's staff couldn't figure out that OSU was coming with the screen pass over and over again ?

Doesn't matter what the staff says if the tacklers are bouncing off the receiver's legs.

Usually the underdog goes conservative and stops scoring in the 4th qtr. PSU stopped tackling.

And if the play had work he'd be considered a genius ..

hindsight is 20/20
if the play worked, it would be forgotten and whatever happened after would be all that you remember. There's no room for error with that play call, you call it to get a home run earlier in a game, but not to get 5 yards or game over situation.

The sequence of events is why he should be dismissed not the play.

4th and 5 with three timeouts and you call a timeout. Fine.
Then OSU calls a timeout after seeing PSU formation.
Now they come back out and PSU calls a second timeout after seeing OSU updated formation.
They run the play and don't make it which wasn't guaranteed no matter the play... But now after blowing timeouts they can't stop the clock three times and get another possession with over a minute to work with.

Absurd and juvenile
