Brownsburg (Ind.) four-star quarterback Hunter Johnson is taking an unofficial visit to Notre Dame today.

Johnson is one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2017, and is high on the Irish. He had been in contact with former quarterbacks coach Matt LaFleur, but is now looking to build a relationship with new offensive coordinator Mike Sanford. The visit will mark the first time the two will meet in person.

Blue & Gold Illustrated has been told that there's a chance Notre Dame could offer today. The entire coaching staff isn't on campus - because of spring break - but multiple coaches will be on hand to meet and greet Johnson.

The 6-foot-2, 187-pound quarterback holds early offers from Tennessee, Penn State, North Carolina, Iowa, Cincinnati and Purdue.
