ND has 11 games scheduled for 2025 with 7 home games at the moment and 4 road games.

Stanford has 11 games scheduled for 2025 with only 5 home games so far.

Does it seem obvious that ND will likely try and work it out with Stanford to finish the season at Stanford as per recent history? It seems both need a game and have a history or do we think ND will be looking to schedule someone else?

No Shamrock Series game next year....I suppose they could move the Syracuse Game off site to New York but having played two games in NY last year I think that is doubtful.

The key game to get scheduled is the one between Miami (the opener which could be anywhere from 8.28.2025 thru 9.1.2025 when the ACC decides on the actual date) and the game with Texas A&M on 9.13.2025.

They may try to get a season ending game with Stanford, but that may not be a high priority.

I wonder if they will have a bye before Texas A&M? Yes it's early....but with the way the schedule is now if not week 2 it would be October 11th or 18th / the weekend before USC as the first bye week. The second bye would then be November 15th ideally but this would be more of a late break before hopeful playoffs.

That’s a very difficult schedule, so let’s see how much weight they give to strength of schedule next year.

There are already 5 ACC games on the schedule. Would the league have to approve a 6th per the agreement ? I have no idea the terms.

My guess is that our admin is negotiating to replace one of our current ACC games with @Stanford. That would give us the final game of the regular season in California, which we seem to like, and it would leave one game left to schedule a cupcake on week 2.

Hopefully not a cupcake
