You got a link to the original content?

Also, ND has been a mainstay among the top 5 in revenue/sales for decades while not having won a national title since 88. I wonder where their football operations budget would rank on a list like this? My guess somewhere in the 10-15th range in how much they spend on their football team every year, while raking in top 3 to top 5 in sales.

Also, when you are #2 in sales in a rapidly growing industry, there's obviously a ton of national fan interest/passion. Why this hasn't resulted in ND being one of the foremost programs in NIL with NDs national popularity is beyond me.

This can't be right Per ChaseHasNoBalls Notre Dame football ALONE is generating BILLIONS not millions in revenue.

I guess this thread was made with contemptuous sarcasm. Well you wasted your time, the only reason ND might need or feel compelled to join a conference is for playoff access. Not for the money. And it is assumed they already make plenty of money, and that they would be willing to spend any additional money to be made in a conference on staying independent, if you will.

But that's all it would be, that they wouldn't to find themselves at a super distinct disadvantage. They might not be able to sustain that. The money's irrelevant.

This is shocking to me and a good way. I always thought ND hangs around the 4 to 8 range in revenue.

Im surprised about ohio states revenue. Maybe it was because of NIL spending?

What? Schools don't pay NIL. I highly doubt there is a line item for NIL on any universities books. Plus, this is reporting revenue, which is before expenses. This isn't reporting P&L which would include expenses.

My fault. Finances is definitely knowledge I lack, thank you for the insight. This data is still pretty awesome though.

There is in my opinion absolutely no reason for ND to join a conference if financial and on field success are happening simultaneously.

Last years dominate postseason run, beating SEC champ especially really made a big impact I think.

I just see so much potential with this program. ND is a sleeping giant. Just wish we had ruthless/savages at the very top of the program who share the same desire to dominate college football as the fans do.

Our enemies know ND is a sleeping giant for sure.

Its pretty awesome that a school in the middle of nowhere in indiana, cold weather, academic, religion...is feared like that.

Freeman is working on waking up the giant. Patience. This year will tell alot I think.

Top line revenue is nice and all, but the true financial health of a football program lies in the bottom line. Of the schools listed, I'm curious to see which are running at a profit and which if any are running losses.

Chase the fool, sees these numbers and assumes these schools have massive amounts of money to spend on bringing in the best recruits money can buy.

Let’s be real and just face facts ………… almost everything is beyond you ! 😜
