For some strange reason I was looking at the 2017 ND Schedule and USC is not listed. Is this confirmed as a year off or just not officially scheduled yet?

It looks like a brutally tough schedule as it is....
Saturday
Sep. 2 Temple Owls
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Sep. 9 Georgia Bulldogs
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Sep. 16 at Boston College Eagles
Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA TBA ---
Saturday
Sep. 23 at Michigan State Spartans
Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, MI TBA ---
Saturday
Sep. 30 Miami (OH) RedHawks
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Oct. 7 at North Carolina Tar Heels
Kenan Memorial Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC TBA ---
Saturday
Oct. 14 --- TBA --- ---
Saturday
Oct. 21 --- TBA --- ---
Saturday
Oct. 28 NC State Wolfpack
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Nov. 4 Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Nov. 11 at Miami (FL) Hurricanes
Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL TBA ---
Saturday
Nov. 18 Navy Midshipmen
Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, IN TBA ---
Saturday
Nov. 25 at Stanford Cardinal
Stanford Stadium, Stanford, CA TBA

Imagine they are waiting to place it in one of the October weekends. Usually the PAC releases it's conference schedule 1 year in advance. So they might not know their schedule to figure out which Oct. date works

USC will be on one of those TBD dates in October, they have just nor decided on which one. The other one will be our bye week.

That is a killer schedule. hadn't paid attention to it before. But with no conference championship game and this arbitrary selection process, winning with that schedule would be undeniable.

To hell with SC

Place them at the bottom of the schedule as originally agreed to

The Temple coach will probably have moved on to bigger and better things.
Georgia will be in the second year of a new regime. Who knows.
If BC isn't any better than they were this year, you may see a first year coach there in 2017.
@smu will be tough, but ND wins there often.
Miami (Ohio) - ya, whatever.
UNC - Very possible that their coach gets picked off by someone else as well. They are certainly building a strong base. Then again, will they ever be punished for the years of giving grades to athletes?
USC - This might be most interesting. They will have the athletes, but who know what type of DC they will bring in (if indeed Wilcox is history).
NCState and Wake at home - ND should win by two scores over both, and easily.
@ Miami - Again, they will have the athletes. Who will the coach be?
Navy - Never easy these days, but it seems ND has relearned how to stop the option.
@ Stanford - Again going east coast to west coast, not a good idea. Stanford is tough. Let's hope the defense and red-zone offense are better this time around.

Tough Schedule? Which of these teams concern you the most?

Georgia, Michigan State, North Carolina, USC, Stanford in no particular order could all be top 15 ranked teams. Temple may continue to be a decent team, Navy is well Navy and even the NC State Wolfpack could be good...never mind Miami always has potential...second year of a new coaches program.......Who is the patsy? Miami of Ohio?

You never know though with the trash people on that selection committee.
