Let's be honest, if it wasn't for the 12 team playoff, OSU, and ND wouldn't be in the Semi final. And if ASU didn't get robbed on that no targeting call, they would be in as well.

If this was last year the 4 team playoff, would have included:

1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Texas
4. PSU

I'm all for an expanded playoff.

The NFL model of 14 with two byes would be perfect IMO, and keep the campus games in round 1.

Conference champs get in, and seed teams honestly.

Seeding teams honestly is critical. I posted in the other thread and will share here too - I think it would be fantastic to have all 12 teams play in round 1 with home games for the top 6 seeds. The top two remaining seeds get a bye in round 2. It would create a huge incentive to fight like hell during the regular season for one of the highest seeds.

Also, in general response to the topic of this thread: the expanded playoff has absolutely been a success. It caused some early season games to be less meaningful, but dozens (hundreds maybe?) of mid to late season games suddenly mattered this season where they would have been garbage time in previous years. The inclusion of legit contenders like ND and OSU is great too.

Yeah but the expanded playoff will ruin the regular season, LMFAO. Nothing could be further from the truth!
