Last night was the result we didn’t want, but the Notre Dame men fought until the end. The only thing I’ll add about the game is that I can’t believe we couldn’t get Love or Price involved, and how bad our secondary was in that 2nd quarter.
Marcus Freeman is still growing, but he doesn’t blink in big games. At 31 -7 Brian Kelly would have been making reservations for a steak dinner after the game. Yes Osu, slowed down, but we landed some punches, and Osu is fortunate it didn’t get closer at the end.
Going forward, we do need more speed at receiver, and depth on the Dline. A dynamic accurate quarterback, would be nice too. But having 3 d lineman out, an offensive line that has been shuffled. We do have a big boy culture now, with no excuses. The competition should be intense in the spring, a lot of guys with big game experience.
