Onward Notre Dame ... ND - OSU game thread

Who was it who claimed that ND doesn’t score on opening drives ?

Let the complaining begin. We didn't run the ball once. How come we lost the coin toss. JC should had BL on that pass. Typical ND...so and so is not that good... Blah, Blah, Blah.

Nice opening drive for ND. Offense looked sharp and the Oline looked good on pass protection.
GO IRISH!!!!!!!

Watching Fisher on those 5 snaps and he is an elite tackle. Amazing ND had him go down in week one, go 12-1 and found another franchise tackle in Alt…the next two years those two are going to be amazing bookends

Fitting we start with a check down
There was a difference this time though. We let the defense drop and create space then gave tyree room to use his speed. In the past check downs seemed to be the defense blanketing deeper routes and rallying to the ball.

Nice to see an attempt at a punt return. Not being sarcastic....got so tired of seeing fair catch signal everytime there was a punt.

3 down first play get gashed, 4 down the rest and dominate….. hmmmmm

awesome start to the Freeman era!!! Wow, it appears Rees was shackled by BK on the offensive side of the ball.
The plays seem very similar to the types of plays we saw during the regular season, with the exception that Coan has had time to throw so he has been able to look downfield.

I will never get over the fact we have a walk on returning kicks.
Don’t care he’s a walk on, more alarming he’s a not very talented walk in

Some great players have been walkons across time

Austin has gotta break towards the ball. Is that more evidence of poor coaching? Dude is nowhere close to an NFL player right now

Would love if we checked out of a stacked box run on first down…. I never get that… yeah there’s a chance you hit a seem for a huge gain but way way more likely to get stuffed … at least switch run play to the opposite of their over load
