I see continual references to him being an inferior or sub standard throwing the ball.
I disagree. There is admittedly a small body of work to analyze but from what I've seen he looks pretty good.
Aainst USC, there was a toss to someone (Brown) on the near sideline that he had to float over a defender's head. Tough throw and he executed it perfectly. Against LSU he looked pretty good too, and there is absolutely no question he has a stronger arm than EG, which is a reasonably high bar.
I also was impressed with how crisply and decisively he audibled. Much more so than EG.
If he gets the shaft in this QB competition, it wouldn't shock me if he packs up and leaves. No doubt he doesn't want to sit yet another year, but unless he has a really lousy Spring and then summer camp (highly unlikely), you just can't keep this kid on the bench any longer.
