Back when my daughter was a student at ND, the fencing teams had a no cut policy. Any student who wanted to fence, learn how to fence, etc was welcome. Of course only the best from each weapon class were allowed to participate in meets. So the total number of "players" was huge compared to the number who actually competed in meets ... wonder if the ACC looks at everybody on the team, or if they have some rule that the award winners had to compete in at least x meets?
