In the hypothetical that the NCAA has to pay players how could ND opt out? Even if they started a new league the same law suites would come because they still have to generate revenue and wouldn't the legal precedent supersede the league's bylaws. Tv contracts, merchandising, medical insurance etc... would still have to be dealt with. I dont see how ND and other schools could claim their exempt from paying players if the courts rule that colleges must share the revenue with the players.
