Kelly is an absolute numb nuts when it comes to situational playycalling. WHY IN GOD'S NAME WOULD YOU GO FOR TWO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 3RD QUARTER???

Then he blows TWO timeouts on an offensive drive which allowed Stanford to save it's timeouts for their final drive.

My favorite pro team (Giants) talks about Kelly succeeding Coughlin, I want him NOWHERE NEAR them.

Two games lost by Brian Kelly going for two in the middle of the 3rd QUARTER. PATHETIC.

The two points you speak of did not cost the game. Therin lies the fact you are a ****ing Dbag and no nothing about football. Yes we lost the game but there are huge reasons why; some of which was a first down at the beginning of the game on 4th down that clearly was not a 1st down. Another was a call reviewed after the ball was snapped. The play cannot be reviewed after the ball is snapped but it was.

Go on being a ****ing Dbag though. I don't care. You are the stupid looking **** though.

I know. Kirk Ferentz never makes those mistakes. That is why Iowa is 12-0.

First of all, the two point conversion did not lose the game. You have to score TDs when you are down close. You can't fumble with seconds on the clock and in field goal range. You can't let a seasoned QB just sit in the pocket at the end and drill a 26 yard pass. You need great defense to win championships. Obviously the Irish defense is anything but great. Kelly did an awesome job this year. They lost 2 games by a total of 4 points against elite teams. There is no shame in that .

It's the way we lost them. Better coaching decisions by all coaches means in worst case scenarios we go into OT in both games. I shall explain my thinking.

Clemson game he gives going for a PAT. So when we scored that last TD we would have been kicking a PAT for a tie and OT. Maybe we win or not who know.

Tonite's game if he kicks the PAT then we go for 2 on the last TD. Their D was on their heels so a much better chance to score 2 and up by 3.....even if they score we go to OT. Maybe we win or not but its OT.

The overall reason why I don't like going for 2 that early is it gives momentum to the other team. The crowd is excited they stopped you and the D gets pumped. Why do that?

Sorry but this is a ridiculous argument. Going for 2 is not the problem. In fact at Clemson it should have been successful, in that CR dropped the pass. In neither case did it cost us the games. At Clemson we turned it over 4 freaking times with countless dropped passes, that's what cost us that game. Last night our defense, or lack there of, clearly cost us the game. Secondary reason would be are inept redzone offense, that's what cost us the game

Yes the D was questionable so why make it more difficult by not taking the easy points.......

The 'D' was questionable? That's an understatement. It's horrific when you can't defend 25 seconds and 40 yards for a potential birth in the CFP. It's not so much that we repeatably get burned for big chunk plays every week, no matter the opponent; it's more how our players just seemed lost on defense. Blown coverage after blown coverage. Showed zero improvement over the course of the season. That's the most disappointing part.
