This was covered last week in the Coquese Washington thread I started last week. The info on Beth came from a well-connected source, and a University rep confirmed to me today that the former ND All-American and assistant since 2012 will not be part of Niele Ivey's staff.
Carol Owens and Michaela Mabrey both will be returning on the bench, and we anticipate that the alumnus and former McGraw player and assistant Washington — who also received a law degree from ND — will be hired after the long human resources process is over. The ND rep told me they will have to go "by the book" with that hire.
Washington coached from 1999-07 under Muffet McGraw before taking the head coaching job at Penn State. Ironically, replacing Washington was Ivey.
