they gave Duke a beatdown from midway in the third to the end. if they keep playing the way they are now then it'll be hard for anyone to keep this team from going another final four. Duke had no answer as our irish scored from everywhere with several players getting double digit pts. defense though was what stood out the most and what will make them tough to beat if they play that way in the ncaa tournament
Like their play after Duke closed within 2 points in the beginning of 2nd half . For a while I thought that ND women would not get a #1 seed (Mississippi State,Maryland etc) ,not that it makes that much difference , #1 or 2# seed , gotta play the games no matter. My concern for this year's team are the lapses on offense , ND women seem to give up 10-12 point leads early then put on late rallies . Gets out of rhythm. Still need to play a complete game to beat the likes of even the # 2 seeds ,Maryland ,Oregon State ,etc.
No team can beat UConn without a near perfect game. Some out of conference college teams scheduled UConn hoping UConn would not be as good since the first 3 picks of the WNBA were Huskie players. No such luck. Auriemma may just love this team more than his past teams because people thought UConn would be vulnerable .
ND still needs to work on its defense to get into the finals . Just a another thought about the Duke game . Just watching UConn blowing out South Florida 37-11 . UConn scoring 37 points in a little over 12 minutes . Just keep pouring it on ,with very , very few bad games ( against Tulane UConn won only by 3 ,63-60, but UConn beat Tulane earlier 95-50 )and they don't have lapses, play great defense and run a very efficient offense .

If we do make the final 4 ,no guarantee ,. UConn wil definitely be there . All the top ranked womens teams are probably watching UConn blowing out South Florida 93-33 and they still have another 10 minute quarter to go . UConn can be beat , but by a near perfect game .. And very good Baylor, ND , South Carolina ,Maryland ,all lost to UConn by 11 or less points . It can be done
