kizer should go pro, enjoy being the successor at Jay Cutler in Chicago. Zaire transfers out anyway and Brandon Wimbush is your starter, Ian Book backs him up, Van Gorder next and Freshman Avery Davis is batting clean up.

Rees: 22-8
Golson: 19-6
Zaire: 3-0
Kizer: 12-11

More than ready to give Wimbush a shot.

I hope Kizer goes pro whether he's first or fifth round and Wimbush gets a shot to lead the team to the playoffs, preferably with a new coach before Kelly ruins him. Kelly doesn't deserve to return. If Kizer and Kelly return...I can't even think about it.

Kizer will be just fine. He is a winner who had to tow the line for a loser.
perse Kier at 12-11 does not equal winner . IK the derfense has been awful and he had a new offense but he had many opportunities to make plays to win games and not just on the last drives but he just doesnt seem to get it done. He needs a ton of work.. Has the look of a pro but that's it. I think Kelly 's track record of imporving Qb's is a big fat zero. Qb's do not improve under his leadership and that says a lot.

Wait. Folks here wanted Golson gone and MZ to stay. Then, MZ to go and DK to stay. Now, they want DK to go and BW to stay. And you guys want to be in charge of hiring and firing.

Yes. I wish Kizer all the success in the NFL. Clearly, he has regressed this year, and as a fan I'm more excited to see Wimbush until he throws an int.;)

oh DK is raw talent but he is an ubber talent and like Jaylon suffered by playing in a bad scheme

This heaping of blame on Kizer is ridiculous. All QB's under Kelly while at ND have regressed even the backups. Crist got worse. Hendrix started out as a QB we could see starting some day then turned into a QB who looked like he couldn't tie his shoes. Golson went from a confident QB to a deer in headlights QB who turned into a turnover machine. Zaire didn't play a whole lot this year but when he did he looked pretty bad. He didn't look anything like he looked the previous 2 years. The only QB that didn't outright regress was Tommy Rees but he never improved as a QB either. There is a clear trend with QB's under Kelly. Why would anyone think Wimbush has the secret sauce that no one else has had under Kelly? The one thing that can be said is maybe Wimbush will have a decent first year as starter but, unless Kelly changes who he is, we can expect Wimbush to regress at some point too... and then we'll be asking about Ian Book, and that will be missing the point too.

Kelly is the problem. It isn't his QBs.

Wimbush hasn't been damaged yet, or that we are aware. Hopefully, Wimbush can prove himself with another coach so there's hope he can improve with experience.

the RZ problems that were evident vs USF continued regardless of the QB RB's or WR's.
The constant was the direction of the leadership. If that single evidence escapes you then you have argument as to what else the problem may have been?

wasn't aware that "ignorant" and "snarky" can both apply to a post....who knew?

You guys who player idol refuse to let facts hit you in the face. While DK has decent arm talent and plenty of toughness he is FAR incomplete as a total quarterback. DK is not ubber talented and the reason why he's mentioned as a 1st rounder is his measurables. That puts him in the same category as Jamarcus Russell, Cardale Jones, etc. DK's decision making leaves a lot and I mean a lot to be desired. He's too big play oriented, inconsistent with ball placement and gives up on routes far too early. Please re-watch every game and you see plenty of underneath routes that are wide open that he misses. In the NFL your window to fit the ball is even less than college and if you can't pull the trigger you'll never succeed. You can coach something until your blue in the face but if the player won't execute you move on to the next.

I have a feeling that ND will have at least 2-3 decommits. If KELLY goes, maybe get 4 more decent players. Schiano would bring a tough minded defense to ND. Just what the doctor ordered. I love past ND players but just don't know if they coached poorly or had their hands tied by Kelly. I do like Elston and rbs coach. The rest ,I would can.

In all seriousness if I were Wimbush I'd transfer if Kelly is back. Every single QB he has touched has regressed dramatically. Everyone like to slam Crist as being a headcase, but it's clear now it wasn't him. He played great the first season until he got hurt. Kelly then got his hands on Dayne and ruined him like he did every QB after him.

I understand you feel empowered by posting like a 13 year old on an ANONYMOUS message board, but nothing you say matters. Nothing I say matters. All the crying and foot stomping going on around here and it still was a 4-8 season and there is a good chance BK will be back. Some of you are neutered but still trying to act like the big dog.
