They were talking about Notre Dames defensive line depth and how much of a big deal was made of Jerry Tillery this spring. In their opinion the fact that so much was made of Jerry is a bad sign for the Irish because it shows a lack of experienced talent in the position. They made the point that if you have freshman playing significant roles on the DL it spells trouble for the unit because freshman DL most of the time are not ready for the position that soon. What does everyone else think of this perspective? While I can see their point of view I think that if someone comes in and can play then they should play no matter their class and it doesn't necessarily say anything negative about the unit. Sometimes people are just that good and I like our squad at DL.
