Beach should be all over this board this week and he is mia.

I am getting old n occasionally have moments like I am having now - when a name is on the tip of the tongue but I can’t grasp it. So where is my friend and TelX will know - the guy who was always positive to a point of absurdity - then stopped posting like 2 years ago
His name please!

I feel so stupid

I know it will come…. But when?

Good morning Ski…yes, two consistent posters whom I miss. Beach was always around, but definitely posted more leading up to the USC game. I recall a few posters taking issue with his intent here, and thought him a troll, etc…. I think he got tired of defending why he was posting here, and left.

I’m really in the dark about Bodi. His last private message to me was about his nephew who was a DE for Kansas St, and their upcoming bowl game, and that was two years ago this Dec. He was looking forward to some time off and not having to work so much overtime in the coming year, etc…. But, he was also bothered by some of the personal negative posts in reaction to his over the top optimism. He dished pretty well, but was hurt be some of what came back at him.

As for those damn names on the tip of the tongue that seem to stay there for a day or two, you’re not alone in the department. Frustrating as hell. Just hope we are still posting and exchanging somewhat coherent opinions about all things Notre Dame ten years from now. Happy Thanksgiving!

What about Perse? I know he switched handles (I had to do the same, did not want to), but I know he was going through really rough health issues. Is he still around?

I’ve wondered the same. He developed multiple myeloma as I recall, and opted for a treatment that requires several weeks isolation in the hospital as your immune system is seriously compromised. He had a very difficult time of it, but came out doing well and participating here on a regular basis. Thought he might have reduced his posts such that I missed them, but sounds as though he has left. Hope not for health reasons.

There was a poster who had eyesight problems, I think. Don’t remember his name, but it has been a long time since I have seen him here. I hope these MIA posters are still alive and well. I really miss IIO’s recruiting info and his post analysis!!!

Was that ND35? I think he has probably passed away by now. I know he was using a special computer with extra-large type because his vision as going. He had some really good historical knowledge and posted good information about recruiting.

Beach was a SC homer for sure
HIs handle, Beach Cardinal, kind of gave that away. He was a USC fan, but a very good poster, who came here to talk about football not engage in petty arguments. I'm wondering if he, too, has passed away.

Yes, Beach is a USC alum who chummed with some of the more active boosters and pretty well connected to accurate sources of info. He liked Notre Dame and was happy to see Kelly bring the program back to top ten status, loved the rivalry, and cheered for USC to win while semi objectively talking team strengths and weaknesses. Always thought he had a tendency to overstate USC weaknesses and understate their strengths in building up to the game. He was never a troll here, and always respectful, but also fact based. He lived in the Newport Beach area; and I sure hope he left here because so many of the old guard had left, and not because of his passing. He was retired, but not exactly old…a term that keeps getting redefined as I get older. I for one miss Beach and his posts, especially this week!
