Chris Zorich. Small blurb in my local sports page. Chris is now the AD at Prairie State (Illinois). He most recently worked for the Chicago Park District, the AD for St Sabina's Parish in Chicago where his boss there never saw a TV camera he didn't love, and a manager for student welfare at ND. God bless him. He was a guest host last season on the Irish post game show with Reggie Brooks and Jack Nolan. Great sense of humor. When asked if he had any advice for the young student athlete , he said..."pay your taxes". I actually talked to Chris that morning inside the Joyce. He acted like he knew me (of course he didn't) but was as cordial and friendly as can be. A Domer to the bone. He needs to come back to campus more often. He is still a fan favorite.

Zorich was always one of my favorites. I still remember thinking back in his Senior year that he was the exact same height as me, exactly 100 lbs. heaver, and both much stronger and much faster. It was at that point that I was really glad that I never played college football. I would have been crushed.

Rice was in town with Rick Mirer the other day. They were talking about a new pizza place that is coming to Eddy Street commons. Not sure if Tony has attachment to the location. But they were talking about it. Saw a couple pictures of the two of them together from a friend of Tony and I's that was there.

I never see Rick on campus on game day but I always see Tony. Tony is another guy that is very approachable. I have witnessed his interaction with fans dozens of times. One of my favorite Irish plays all time is Tony's 65 yard option TD vs USC as Mark Carrier had to decide who to cover....the QB or the trailing Back. He chose wrong and Tony was off to the races.

Tony lives in SB so he's able to be at games more often. I wish ND was playing CMU this season instead of that silly game against UMass. Tony's son is a pretty good WR for the Chippewas.
