This was the big Kelly / Weis players blow up after the home embarrassment to USC. It led Manti to come out and tweet that he was only playing for his bros and seemed to really hurt a lot of the players.
I'd like to hear the new staff's version of events. The old staff was pretty quiet about it and we just heard a few rumors.
Did Kelly really make such a distinction? Was it as drastic as has been suggested? Who in, in particular, was he referring to? By this point, I think the only "Weis guys" who were getting playing time were productive, good team players. Was this all about Crist? How was he able to overcome this mess and get the team to buy in for the big run in 2012?
It's just something I'm curious about and could be a topic for a slow time of year.
