had Jalen, Fuller, and others on the defense returned or not gotten suspended.

This is one of the weakest schedules we've ever played. With the demise of MSU and Stanford. With USC and Texas being only mediocre our toughest game may have been Miami, who's beatable with last years squad. I believe this could've been a magical year.

Instead we aren't even 500 against what is possibly our weakest competition in the history of ND football.

Can you imagine the beat down we'd be taking with the schedules from the past few years. Ouch.

Unfortunately, even if we were killing it, we would be on the outside looking in at the end of the year because our schedule is so weak. A one loss team and conference champion would jump over us.

So just get the young kids lots of playing time and prepare for the future while beating USC.

Can't constantly make excuses.

It's evident that our coaching staff spends absolutely zero time with the depth chart. When they have to enter the game they area deer in headlights.

Kelly is unprepared for games and this extends everywhere through the entire program. His deficiencies are in full swing now and it's ugly and ugly everywhere.

Organizing,
Play calling,
Sense of feel,
Confident arrogance,

All are missing from the staff. Just terrible. Horrible.

that's because we do; and we keep coming back for more!

"thank you Sir, may I have another!"

yikes

recruiting: Justin Foster a vg prospect who is 6'4" and 230 or so was being recruited by ND. He is addament about being a LBer. ND tells him you are too slow to play LBer and stops recruiting him. He now is as of yesterday commited to Clemson (yes, the team that still has defense).
That is a similar scenario to the Barr case!

Is this staff out of touch? Bring the kid in and let him have his chance to fail or succeed at the position of choice! If he really cannot play the position of choice, he will realize it himself! Then you have the guy you were recruiting at th position you were recruiting him at!

The magical year as described would have allowed BVG to continue to field a poor defense with terrible fundamentals while misusing the best linebacker in college football. Winning 9 or 10 or 11 games albeit with a terrible defense would have allowed Kelly to continue to back and defend his worse hire indefinitely, while we annually appeared on the cusp of competing for the NC, only to be routed by playoff caliber teams. Wanted BVG gone last year, and the only good thing about this year's debacle is it forced Kelly's hand.

respective of the lame vieled attempt to place all blame on BVG ^; Kelly IS to blame and only Kelly is to blame! He makes decisions. He makes the final decisions about the team. No buck passing!

What could have been? Well, the truth is is exactly what happened; it was only the timing that was unsure!

I cannot believe these shills are still at it!

Jaylon Smith was never playing this year and as good as Fuller is the offense is not our biggest worry.
