Heading down to San Antone this weekend for the Shamrock Classic.Weather should be OK.Never been to San Antone so somewhat excited to see the "River Walk " and the city itself. Wish we were undefeated,it would make the game better. If anyone has ever been to San Antonio let me know what to look for.Go Irish !!!!!

Hit the Riverwalk, the Magnolia Pancake Haus (on your way in from the airport for breakfast), obviously the Alamo (will not take you long and is right on the Riverwalk), and The Smoke Shack on your way back to the airport.

I've been to SA - you will have fun and also enjoy the game and what I guess will be a small but classy contingent of Army fans!

Wife and I spent the day after the Texas game in San Antonio. Very fun city. Read the placards with the names of the guys killed at the Alamo, very interesting to see where they came from. Including several from Ireland. Downtown & Riverwalk area is very compact. Park once and its all walkable.

I live here so let me know what kinda of stuff you are looking to get into and where you are in town and I will give you suggestions.

A little off topic but........ I am watching Indiana/PSU. The stadium has many empty seats. It would be great if next week, NDs stadium looked similiar. Maybe, just maybe then , the administration and Swarbrick might take notice. Because if Kelly comes back, I can assure you, not many will be interested in going to ND to watch a lousy coached team next year.

You people are unbelievable. The players loathe fans like this. Wishing the stadium to be empty? Wishing for a three loss ending to the season? This has nothing to do with the program or players to some of you, but everything to do about your own ego. Irish fans sell their tickets when the weather is good and the team is good, so what's the difference?

What? About my own ego? You shouldn't comment on someone you do not know. I have absolutely no problem with anyone disagreeing with me. It's just my opinion. I am entitled to it just as you are entitled to have your opinion. But please don't presume you know why I or anyone else feels the way we feel. My comment on having the stadium not filled has nothing to do with the players. But it can be a way that fans, such as myself can voice our opposition to the current state of the program. I have all the respect on the world for the players. This has nothing to do with one bad year. This goes deeper. Believe me, I am not a fair wheather fan. Simply put, if fans such as myself didn't care, we wouldn't watch on saturdays and find something else to do. Though I have no control over anything, I still would Iike to see the administration care about the football program. It seems they only care about money. Notre Dame Football should never be mediocre. They have been for 20 plus years.

I know enough to that you want the stadium to be empty in order to prove some kind of misguided point. How is that kind of thinking putting the players first? It's not.

My brother in law is coming out from Jersey for his first ND game to go with my wife and son . We will have fun .
