I don’t see him talked about enough. I thought this kid was an nd lock, but am now reading otherwise. Scott and Rushing get all the attention, but we’re in need of linebackers too. Not getting Scott and rushing would be a bummer, but if we also lose out on KVA this class could be an overall disappointment, especially defensively. We NEED him and Tae on D, Scott/rushing/Beasley would be icing on the cake. Wouldn’t mind taking Shaw too

KVA?

We need KVA or Shaw, but I want both!
Both would be great. But I think regardless of Shaw, KVA is a must. Talent at LB has been an issue, and the guys were bringing in so far this class remind me of Bertrand/Kiser types. Solid players but should not be starting on a top team.

The LB cupboard is not as bleak as you say. Other than Marist Liufau, Kiser, and JD Bertrand, 2023 LB's Drayk Bowen, Jaiden Ausberry, and Preston Zinter is a very good group. 2022 LB's Jaylen Sneed and Nolan Ziegler are very good as well.

Would Shaw and KVA be welcome 2024 additions? Of course. No question.

I think we have exceptional talent in our freshman and sophomore classes At linebacker. We have a huge gap between them and our fourth and fifth year senior linebackers that have a ton of experience between them. I’m hoping the Young guys force their way onto the field for significant playing time this year. Experience is valuable for sure, but I sure as hell don’t want to waste the speed and athleticism that these young guys bring to the table.

True, 22 and 23 were good lb classes but that needs to continue. The guys we have this class seem more like what we’ve been working with the past few years. KVA and to a lesser degree Shaw would change that

Was never a lock. It's us vs Ohio

Not out. But everyone thinks it's ND vs oSU with both sides feeling confident
I think USC is confident as well after his visit there last week where he raved about the visit and all that USC presented. Right now, I don’t like our chances with the local university knocking his visit out of the park, and Ohio St getting his last visit a week or so after ours. This is a make or break weekend with KVA, and hope we blow him away with the uniqueness of ND.

In this upfront cash NIL era, if you are U$C, and you're recruiting someone 30 minutes away, you should be confident.

The 2023 5-Star QB U$C signed drove a $150,000.00 Luxury SUV for his last 2 semesters of HS. Again, they should be confident.

They aren't

They aren't
USC Football and their street agents have been paying under the table for players for years. It's why USC and Pete Carroll were placed on major probation not too long ago. Google USC RB Lendale White and cash in his apartment. "Leopards don't change their spots..," and if KVA wants to get paid now, he will get paid now.

If it was about money he would go somewhere that offers more than SC does.

This is going to be a ND v Osu battle. Sc is running third

The only way for you to be proven wrong is for KVA to choose USC, so hope That’s not the case. Important weekend for recruiting.

I have a bad feeling ND will come up short to tOSU again. ND is battling and they don't back down like under Kelly.
ND needs to find a way to pull this out to close the gap. I really like this kid

We are battling osu for KVA and Lambert. 2 give players in this class for us and them

Gotta win these battles

Agreed.... I think we split with ND getting Lambert. Stud left tackles I'll take all day every day. If ND is able to land KVA as well then that damn gap is a closing fast

When you live 30 minutes from USC, and you are a highly rated HS LB, and you just went on official visit to USC, never count USC out in this NIL era.
Or any other era, for that matter, with the possible exception of the Clay Helton era.

I can’t find anything on how KVAs visit went. Very silent. I know he is going to OSu next but to not have any feedback is odd
