seeing both teams basically move up the field in spread formations (which I really don't care for … but I guess they're the current trend) … one thing I notice how they both are different from ND, especially when they get into the red zone … they keep using the same formations they used up to that point. The play may differ, but the formations stay the same … forcing the defense to spread out.

With Kelly's offense … once we get up close, he puts in a number of TEs and brings everyone in close. Thats something that really bugs me and may be the reason for our red zone woes.

I guess we will not have to listen to ole "Herby" tell us how great OU is now.......... And by "herby" I mean Herbstreit, not Irish Herb

I've been torn....I really wanted Clemson to lose, but on the other hand keep thinking its a better compliment to our team if they win. Now I'm screwed and have to root for them no matter what vs either Alabama or MSU.....

Clemson seems to be manhandling OU now … something they couldn't do against ND.

^^^agree 100% TX. Herbstreit like many others, latched on to OK at around week 10 like they were #1. The B12 is a joke. If ND had gotten past Stanford we would all be watching this game right now pissed off that OK got in over us. And they would have. Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma. OVER ****ing rated.

Stoops' boys getting blown out. Asses handed to them. We nearly beat this team in their own house.

I didn't think the Clemson D would be this dominant. I expected a 42-40 type score with both teams running up and down the field.

Is this the Oklahoma Team that was slotted to be in before the Irish if we had not allowed Stanford to win that game in the last 30 secs?

Reports coming out of some recruiting services have Caleb Kelly as a lock to Oklahoma? With ND the runner up ? Wonder who Kelly finally commits to ?

Yes Stu. This is the team that would have been in the playoffs over ND had we played D for 30 seconds in Palo Alto. That last poll after the BC game was the committees mea culpa to the B12 for the B12s perceived slight last year. That poll made OK a playoff team no matter if we had beaten Stanford.

Clemson is now 14 and 0 !! The same record I predicted the Irish to get to this year ! It can be done ! Clemson has been patient and building for years now. The Irish are making that journey now. If we don't have all the fluke injuries this year we could easily be undefeated ! Stay the course !! Keep recruiting great ! Keep playing tough ! It will happen !! Maybe even next year !!

Potsy and all the naysayers can sit on it !!

Go Irish !!
Get the Big win against Ohio State tomorrow !!

Had to root for Clemson after reading about OU rb Joe Mixon and his interview a few days ago regarding last year's suspension. What a scum bag.

I agree 100%. The committee will take a conference champ over a ND team with the same record. A 1 or 2 loss ND team will get screwed every time by the committee. One of two things will have to take place for ND to make the playoffs. 1. ND must go 12-0 or 2. They will have to extend the number of teams to 6 or 8. Lastly, I have said it for a month now. No way the Sooners are better than ND. We have now seen it twice, looking at the same opponents (Texas, Clemson) that ND could beat the Sooners. Stanford should have went in over the Sooners.

Clemson will not have such success running against MSU, or Bama. OU's defense was the best in the BIG 12 for what that's worth, but the lack of keeping a defensive player assigned to the Clemson QB hurt them badly.

I disagree with you DIP. Clemson is loaded with great athletes at every position. I think Watson will be more than Alabama can handle and should beat them in a 24 to 20 type game.
