Saban , who rarely showers excessive praise was extremely complimentary after a Bama scrimmage. Has done a “ great job”, “ players love him” etc. etc. TR may be a bigger loss then I originally thought.

He did not do a great job at ND, at times he actually did an awful job but he was definitely improving and showing high potential with coaching and recruiting. It just didn't happen at ND until the very end. He could become a great coach.

Way too early-----we'll see in 6-7 months.

Nothing now but a guess as to what they'll look like offensively .

Who?

Remind me how many points we scored in the 2nd half vs navy
So the players bear no responsibility for failing to perform ?

Tell us how you determine what is the OC’s fault versus what is the players fault when a play is unsuccessful

Thanks

This I very much agree with.^ He has called some good games( Clemson ) especially. . But some were real head scratchers also (Navy, Stanford ). didn’t like that he didn’t have a qb coach either. In my opinion hindered development. Also didn’t want to hear any part of Dave Cutliff the duke coach as an analyst. Who is a very good offensive mind.
I think Tom will be a really good OC in the future and The Bama move was a good one for both programs. Again just my opinion.

What do you expect Saban to say, this was a bad hire and I made a big mistake? lol of course he's going to be complimentary of his new OC, any cia h would be.

That's the beauty of getting a new job. You can take all the good and bad that you've learned over the years and start with a clean slate. I hope Tommy is able to translate his success thus far into the season. He's coaching for the GOAT and has the best college football talent in the country.

If Saban wasn’t high on him or if he thought that he made a mistake, he wouldn’t make any comment !

Why would Saban, who knows talent, hire an overrated OC ?
Every coach makes mistakes. Do you think Saban is perfect?

Tommy will be good at Alabama just like every OC there. Too much talent to not have a top offense

He's starting to slip in his old age. He's had a great run, no doubt, but Rees will likely be the catalyst for the fall of the dynasty.
Saban is 71 years old. Last year was a tough one but by no means is Saban slipping. There was a disconnect between Bill O’Brien and the players, specifically their QB. Saban is old school. He saw that game when Rees told Pyne to do your f’ing job and loved it. He wanted a guy to connect with players, qb’s specifically, but also hold them accountable. Rees will be wearing a ring before ND.

Tommy needed to move on for his own growth. To get an opportunity to learn from one of the greatest college football coaches of all time is a no brainer, and I wish him the best.

So if their offense is very good it will have zero to do with him ?

They lose either the best or the 2nd best depending on your opinion QB in the country and if the replacement plays well he gets no credit from you for that ?

That's silly.

They have lost a lot of QBs over the years, no??

How can they fail? They have as much or more talent than any team in the country.

If they struggle, which they won't, TR would have to be incompetent

He's not.

They have talent everywhere. And don't play any defense that has close to the talent of their offense in the reg season

He hasn't called a game yet. I thought he was a good coach, it was his play calling that bothered me. He NEVER seemed to get the offense into any kind of flow. The plays and sometimes series would work, but it was very predictable and very conservative at times

So it’s your opinion that you know more than Saban when it comes to football !

it’s your opinion that your football experience. your football knowledge and your football judgement is superior to Saban’s.

Ergo, in your opinion, you’re eminently more qualified to assess a coach‘s abilities and value to a team ! And in your stated opinion, Saban made a mistake in hiring TR

Do you realize what a total ego maniacal jackass you’ve made out of yourself ?

Do you realize that you’ve lost whatever credibility you might have had by posturing that you’re more qualified that Saban when it comes to assessing TR’s abilities as an OC.

Then you should have no problem calling Alabama’s plays before the ball is snapped this season.

Youre an idiot. No one said they knew more than Saban.

Stop making stuff up in your old head.

I do know that Bill Belichick is maybe the greatest coach in NFL history and he made a HUGE coaching mistake last year and a lot of people called it out before last year. Do they all know more than him because they were right? No. That is ridiculous.

But he is not God. And either is Saban. Everyone makes mistakes

Are you saying Saban is God? Are you saying he is without fault? You have now lost all credibility that you never had

Lol moron
