I am liking what I am hearing from Kelly about using the tightends more.
What in the hell happened the last couple of years? Kizer never threw to them (not saying it was his fault). It just isn't ND football without the tight ends making big plays. Alabama had a great tight end the last couple of years and he made big play after big play. Aliz'e Jones is going to be uncoverable (AllAmerican this year I believe). Durham Smythe has shown good hands when the ball was thrown his way. Cole KmET and Brock Wright look like studs and Nick Weisher is an experenced guy with good hands.

They have been practicing the 12 package, two TEs & one RB, a lot in camp. So I think your wish will come true this season Bodi.

What happen to the TE? Coach Denbrock moved from coaching them to WR. He coached them up, but Coach Alexander is teaching techniques to help the receivers win those contested throws. ND didn't have much coaching the TE's and ST. The last couple of years Kizer fell in love with St. Brown and Fuller. You can't fault him for that move.

DK did not have a TE with pass catching or route running skills comparable to A. Jones. Having Jones back is a huge addition to the passing offense.

Sounds like an up tempo, pass happy offense in the making similar to what Louisville runs.

read a twitter post today from one irish writer that jones got a hamstring this morning but should ready to go sometime next week

No. It's actually the offense Baylor ran when they were 2nd in the nation in rushing.

Batlor, OK........they were pretty good there for a while. Too bad about the scandal. And BTW, Louisville runs the ball fairly well.

What does the scandal at Baylor have to do with the RPO scheme?
It's pretty simple. ND has a very good Oline. If teams crowd the box you get the ball on the outside to your athletes in space. If teams don't play their OLBs between the tackles you run up the middle. It becomes a man on man issue in which ND's line will exploit.
