I don't know of a bigger game outside of the Irish playing that I am more interested in.

I am going to be a big Trojan fan when they play the Tide. USC certainly has the athletes to play with anybody but will they play with heart and have a great game-plan? Shouldn't they be at full strength again ?
I would like the USC Notre Dame game be for a playoff spot for either team. The Irish are 4 and 2 against USC in Kellys tenure so the team will not lack confidence.

Can USC topple the Tide ? What say you?

Credit to both schools for scheduling this game. I always want USC to be ranked as high as possible when ND plays them, and so I will be pulling for the USC upset.

I don't know who will win this game but if anybody could beat bama this upcoming season I think usc could have a good chance as saban and company may not face a faster and more athletic team all year. usc will try to make this game a track meet and the question will be does bama try to play that type of game or run a lot and use the clock to keep usc's offense off of the field

I'm guessing because of location it will be a large home field advantage for Bama.

USC has always been a pain in the side heading into the rankings. Fortunately, BK has had good luck playing them in SC. I see this game being HUGE for the Irish. Nose to the grindstone and get the job done.

What BK needs to realize is that teams come with extra intensity in the playoffs. If he amps up ND's game (and his own) then ND can win it all. I do not ever want to watch another interview where he has his players being interviewed after a loss in a title game. Man up BK!

Never USC! I would support the Clintons if they were playing USC.

I've been to ND USC games a couple of times @ SC had the time of my life, good fans. I actually take ND's opponents every week they don't play ND, Except Michigan, I take Michigans opponent every week.

I'd like to see SC get clobbered.

1. It's USC. I never tire of seeing them get clobbered.
2. It will give me greater confidence that ND will be able to beat them to complete the undefeated regular season. :)

The Mrs. and I had a "discussion" about attending SC-Bama or ND-Texas when both were on the 3rd. After convincing her that she would witness a devastating beat down, she agreed to go to Austin. I still hope SC wins. We need every opponent to win every game except ours.

No. This dislike for USC goes back more than 50 years. There is no turning back. I dislike Tommy Trojan, Traveler, the team colors, the stadium, their football alumni, that fight song, just about everything USC. The Song Girls I like. The game will be interesting for a half, but then USC fades off into the distance dreaming of the following week's visit of Utah State.

Born and raised Irish Catholic in Southern Cal and hatred for all things USC was damn near a cultural heritage among all my aunts and Uncles and Grandparents and cousins. Went to my first game between USC and ND in 1955 where USC dominated us and some nearby USC fans started making fun of the team and the Pope. Long story short, my mom took offense, was told to shut up and get her ass to church, and my dad ended up laying out two of the loud mouth USC fans. Love this annual game more than any other, and I still hate USC football with a passion, but I always want them to be highly ranked with quality wins which makes a ND win that much sweeter.

Great story ! I still can remember watching the 1973 USC-Notre Dame game on tv with my Dad. That long TD run by Eric Penick was stunning ! It was a great day ! You can't beat memories of your youth.

Appy State did beat Mich. Boise beat Oklahoma in the bowl. UCF even won a major bowl.

Anything is possible.

Realistically I think they have about about a 5% chance
