A friend and I are going to the USC game, and we always talk about scalping to try to save money, but have always been too afraid to try so we end up paying the big money on stubhub. We went to a few games last year, and for the Stanford game, came across scalpers who were selling tickets 2 hours before kickoff for cheaper, better seats than we had bought on stubhub. We already had tickets so there was nothing we could do about it, but it made me feel more comfortable about scalping this time around.
So we're trying to decide if we should pay $350-400 a ticket on stubhub to be safe, or bring ~$300 cash each and try to scalp with the hopes of getting cheaper and possibly better seats. But we do NOT want to miss kick off like some people do. Does anyone have any experience with this for such a big game? Will we definitely find decent seats for $300 a pop if we're scalping without missing kick off? Thanks for any info.
