USC Struggling

Actually, SC is not struggling. What you see is what they are. A poster there stated the state of the program as, five star talent and a walk-on coach. The SC staff is about as bad as it gets and Lynn Swan seems oblivious to this.
Fumbles, defensive offsides, blown assignments... Beating them will tell us little. Losing would be a catastrophe.
ND cannot lose to a team in such a state of disarray. All the talent is with the players and none with the coaching staff.

And Utah's pretty good.
Interesting side note 2017 NFL draft Utah put more players in the NFL from the PAC than any other team.

It also means they had more drafted players than ND 8 - 2
SC doesn't like or do well in physical games. They've always struggled with that. It's not about stars, it's about grit.
You guys get caught up in week to week matchups, SC is actually dominating the game. They turned the ball over repeatedly in the first half. Do you see those athletes on offense and when you realize we can't throw the ball consistently enough, unless that changes during the bye week we're going to a have a tough time beating SC. Our saving grace will be that the SC defense isn't great.
Dominating? Ross has been running them over all game. I am actually starting to feel bad for USC's best defender #35. He's been getting run over every other play.

I said the defense is weak, but they have almost 600 yards of total offense. With 3 turnovers don't focus on the score. We are going to struggle with SC becuase our weakness is the secondary and they have Sam Darnold.

What a friggen war! Great game. Very physical. I absolutely love Blair, the Utah free safety. That kid is absolutely fearless. 6'3, 190lbs. Lays the wood!
Agreed. Typical physical USC Utah game, and Blair was the most physical defensive player, and Moss the most physical offensive player. Really a fun game to watch.
I realize we are a week away, but weather looks nice for the game against USC. It's South Bend, so that can change.
I say go to a 3-4 and blitz him with outside backers every play. If he's comfortable we'll have a rude awakening.
If he's hurried we've got a chance...on defense.
On offense if we can't throw then we need to shorten the game....walk slowly to the line...run the ball...walk slowly to the line run the ball...walk slowly...you understand.
BW can't throw. He can run.

SC really struggled and got very lucky at the end. SC is very young but too talented to be so bad at times.
