USC is hiding surveillance video that exonerates athlete of dating-violence charge

So now the pendulum is going to swing the other way? Instead of being soft on domestic violence colleges are are going to create domestic violence incidents to be tough on?

They dismissed a tight end after a title IX investigation a couple of years ago, and I think a judge ordered him reinstated to the school (but not the team).

How can a government judge put a person to a private school?

So when I posted that, I was going off memory of a Sports Illustrated blurb I read last year. Since inquiring minds wanted to know more, I looked it up. Here it is. (Link)

And with that, everyone can know as much as me now. I'd try to find the full answer, but its USC so I'm not that committed.

In the process of looking that up, however, I saw that the player, Bryce Dixon, was since sentenced to 6 years in prison for carjacking. Maybe USC got something right after all.

Meanwhile, USC is a hot mess with all this controversy brewing. A black student union has a problem with the mascots name of "Traveler". They say the name resembles Robert E. Lee's horse "Traveller", as in "Traveller" with two "Ls". ESPN, always willing to put their two cents into left leaning political affairs, has not involved themselves in this latest injustice as far as I can tell. The story is even too stupid for them and that's saying a lot.

It's only a matter of time before the black student union, the mexican-american alumni assoc and every other representative of the multitudes of aggrieved minorities at USC will protest Traveler's whiteness. After all, there is no place in collegiate athletics or in an academic environment for white symbols. I recommend they disassemble the Traveler statue before antifa destroys it for them.

Totally expect the USC to roll over just like all the spineless college administrators, businesses and political entities throughout the country are at the first whimper of anything perceived as "offensive" and/or not PC. Texas just removed all the statues in the middle of the night without telling anybody. I would imagine SC's other "mascot" is in jeapordy from some claimed descendants of people killed by gladiators. Fight On!
